About Us
The Denver Fly Fishing Section promotes the enjoyment and preservation of aquatic habitat in the Colorado Rockies. We are part of the non-profit Colorado Mountain Club, the state's premier outdoor organization. The Colorado Mountain Club (CMC) covers the range of human-powered alpine pursuits. From local nature walks to international climbing expeditions, we do it all. Statewide, the CMC sponsors some 3,000 activities annually, including many schools and clinics. The Denver Fly Fishing Section holds activities from March until November. CMC-certified leaders conduct fishing trips throughout the Rockies. In addition, we offer continuing education.
Fly Fishing and Fly Tying Schools, clinics and seminars enhance member knowledge. Monthly, speakers on such topics as nymphing, casting and entomology share their expertise. For details on meetings and trips, click our FAQs page. Use the menu above for club inquiries. Send us an e-mail.

Backcountry Fly Fishing
While most members prefer established streams, some eagerly pursue the backcountry. The Colorado Mountain Club offers many schools and clinics to enhance alpine skills. Members hike, climb and backpack to uncrowded, special places. For more on Colorado wilderness fly fishing, visit our backcountry pages. |
